Target Score! and Cotton Candy

Fun Fact- I love all cotton candy lol

Besides the regular kind, I've had the DQ Blizzard,

the dipped cone there too.

I've found some mints in a cute metal box.

I picked up some wax melts too!

I'm still waiting on some Cotton Candy syrup from Jordan's Skinny Mixes.

Of course, I've had ice cream and yogurt, so when

I came across this and had to get it too, total impulse buy.

This is just okay- very light taste.

I found the pencils... FOMO
I bought pillows last year and they are still sitting at home
maybe time to sell them lol

I bought two more sets.
My morning bins are in sets of 3.
So I tend to buy 3 of whatever lol

I tried to store them in those soap dishes but too many clips.
Off to the Dollar.25 Tree!!

Number clips too!

I can get two sets from each set.
I store them in those containers from Dollar Tree.

This was the display:

I have most from years past.

This one is new- think April and Earth Day.

Space set

Mini erasers!!!!
I usually buy 4 sets, 2 for me and 2 for a teacher bestie!
I bought more to sort them.

I am keeping these all to sort.
We will use THESE trays

Read here about erasers HERE
how I store them HERE.

Did I buy all 3 of these? Yes.
Did I already own two of them? Yes.
Will I be taking them back? Yes lol

Earth Day

I know this is early, but it just worked out like that!
This week is all about Earth Day and recycling.
I got these booklets recently and couldn't wait to use them!
There are books for every age level.
This poster was included in the program.

Going to use these poems under the ELMO.

With K-2 we will sort items in my pocket chart.  3-5 will create in their science logs.
I will be using these for word work.
I laminate the spinner and the recording sheet.
One option is they have to write the letters as they get them,
or you may want to have those letters available.
Still another way is just to have out some
kind of counter and as the children spin
they put a counter under the letter.
This saves paper- each child doesn't have to
have a page and two
sometimes even using markers
is a pain to clean up too!

Earth Day and Recycle

On Earth day I shared my Target Bag with my students.  Then we sorted things to recycle:

And things that we would put in the compost pile:

I got the sort from http://centerinabag.com/shop/
Later we played this game. Okay so we were supposed to play with contractions, but that wasn't in my lesson plans.  I wrote reduce, reuse, recycle on the spaces. We have two markers, a girl game marker and a boy marker. The children roll a die and move that many spaces. If they land on "Happy Earth Day" space, they say "Happy Earth Day" on the other spots they have to tell us something that they can reduce, reuse or recycle.

Later, I was thinking about other things that I could show them that were also recycled. What can you think of that can be shown that is made from recycled materials?
