Bats

This week the kindergartners studied bats.

They were given a black square for the body and wings traced and stapled together, so they only had to cut once.  Should have taken photos of that too!  They got a rhombus to cut in half for the ears and 2 squares to cut the corners to make the eyes.  They added pupils and a mouth.

We read a book about bats and how the momma bat wrapped her wings around the baby bat.  So the teachers folded them over and glued the title on.

Opened one wing and wrote By and their name.

On the inside of the wings, they unscrambled some bat fact sentences.
We fixed the boo-boo on hers after I took the photo :)
