October Trip to Dollar Tree

Drum roll please!!!!!!!

Taaa Daaa!!!!!!!!!

Hello New mugs!!
Yes there is a duplicate- it's for a gift!

Here were the red, yellow, and green bricks for our morning work.

I will let you know how this goes!
I plan to put it in pencil boxes for
individual stamping boxes.

Eye balls
using a large egg carton

Yes, I bought more colored googly eyes
plus I found this awesome printable
to use them!

Purple cauldrons!

Found these in the craft section.
The white ones I use for my
mini eraser cups are in the snack
area. These were in the art section.

I take out the bottom stake and we use them as pointers.

See how I used the white chalk writer

I used the chalk marker for this frame.
The frame and purple paint
all came from the Dollar Tree.

I am thinking a race with these.

Don't forget to check out local sale groups.
I got all of these fancy scissors
from Facebook marketplace for
$7 :)

Classroom 2020

Our room is really coming along!

We have our math area and sensory bin area.

Here's our loft.
It houses bean bags
and our library.

The 9 cube shelves
hold our centers for the theme.

Here is our calendar area.

We love our new frog rug :)

Monday Made it: Spinners

We read Pip's book on spinners.

I used the tops of old CD cases.
I used my cordless glue gun!!
Best invention ever!

This way, I can change out the game, but
the spinner just stays together!

Erasers

Here are my new beach erasers (older pictures and ideas are linked at the bottom)
Starfish or sea stars

seahorses

sharks

crabs

shells

pink narwhals
orange narwhals

hammerhead sharks!!!!

The low down on why to use mini erasers

besides being cute (which they totally are)
they bring new life to any game

Yes you could play the same game over and over, but by
adding something new to a game, makes it exciting!

You need to work on:
fine motor skills?  mini erasers fit the bill
patterning skills? mini erasers fit the bill
weighing skills? mini erasers fit the bill
board game? mini erasers fit the bill

Have play dough mats? Use mini erasers instead.

Game pieces? Use mini erasers!
Playing tic tac toe? Use mini erasers!

Here are my favorite paid and FREE resources
I use these two packs in my morning bins.

Here are another blog post with tons of ideas.

Here is one post that talks about mini eraser storage,
but if you search "mini eraser or eraser" on my blog, you will pull up a ton!

Target Run #3

I found some erasers!!!!!!

In my cart...

I found these jumbo paper clips

I totally bought these due to FOMO!!!
I did get a free file to use them though.
This is a very awesome dry erase board
for my mom who loves stars!

My plan for these:
for the stars I was thinking of laminating and then writing with Sharpies numbers and having the students clip clothespins on to match.

could be tally marks
1:1 correspondance
number word to numeral
numeral to numeral

the alphabet ones
just clipping those clips from Bullseye's Playgroud
(I only saw one set this year, so I grabbed that of course,
plus the ones from last year.)
Pointers
adding these to the writing center

spin markers- well that is just plain fun...
it *might* be really good for fine motor,
but don't tell the kids lol
We are going to search for shapes
going in our science center when we talk about colors.
I have no idea... yet! shhhh don't tell my husband lol
 These are fabric AND magnetic!!!!!!

Next week I think is all about erasers!
Stay tuned!!!!!!!

pencils, pizza, and French Fries
shapes and dinos

rainbows, unicorns, mermaids and narwhals
ice cream and stars
