Cafe Menu- homophones

Here was my atrocious looking pear!  It started off looking okay, then I don't know what happened!  lol

I gave the children an index card and they drew their own homophones.

We started out with these activities:

Text Features

As part of a Cafe menu we talked about Text Features.  Here was my demo, When my students found them, they illustrated them on their own anchor chart.  {For the life of me, I can't find their photo :( }

Here is our CAFE menu. This is still a work in progress. I give them a sheet with a plain grid on it. We talk about where the strategy will go so they must think about that BEFORE we write it down.
